Although the T17E1 hound-style armored vehicle has never been in service in the US Army, its appearance can be seen as US design style. The armored vehicle was officially put into service in 1943. Although it was too late to participate in the North African campaign, it was widely used in the later Italian and Western European fronts. During the war, the United States produced a total of about 4,000 hound-type armored vehicles. In addition to supplying Britain, it was also used by other allied countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Canada and other troops. After the war, the car was still used by some pro-US countries such as Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Cuba, Israel, and South Africa.
