SdKfz 6 is a half-track towed vehicle designed by Büssing-NAG and Mercedes-Benz for the German army. It is one of a series of half-track vehicles developed by the German army during the 1930s; the difference is only in size and towing capacity. SdKfz.6 has the ability to tow 5 tons, can tow and transfer 10.5cm leFH 18 howitzer. From 1935 to 1943, SdKfz.6 was changed into several variants with different functions, while BN9b was a post-production type, and it was produced until 1943. The production line was terminated when the easier to produce and cheaper sWS and SdKfz11 appeared. The body of the SdKfz.6 engineer-type half-track towing vehicle can carry 15 soldiers and tow various equipment and tools. The vehicle has a total weight of 9 tons, and its high-speed power of up to 50km kilometers is provided by a Maybach NL54 engine with a six-valve output of 115 horsepower.
