USS "San Antonio" is the first ship of the same class of dock landing ships, the US Navy is numbered LPD-17, which is used for amphibious warfare. The'San Antonio' class is the first dock landing ship designed with a concealment function, mainly to reduce the radar reflection of the hull. The US Navy plans to build a total of 10 such ships. The ship has a speed of about 22 knots and can carry 5 helicopters, 14 amphibious assault vehicles and 2 landing hovercraft. Defensive weapons include anti-aircraft missile launchers and Bushmaster 30mm artillery. The operating crew includes 28 officers and 333 sailors, and the ship can also carry a commando consisting of 66 commanders and 633 soldiers. The USS "San Antonio" was built by Northrop Grumman's shipyard, and was commissioned into the US Navy in 2006.
